"3 years ago today since the devastating health diagnosis. Never thought I would see this day. Am so thankful for the health I have, for my wonderful family and friends and in this past year especially the wonderful friends I have made through the STSA choir and Rock Rose House. Thanks to all for the unreal support, positive thoughts and prayers. Love ye all xx”
Hi Dr. Donnellan-
Just wanted you to know the impact of what you are doing! I have an email from a lady from the States that came on one of our tours who is hoping to start a STSA Centre in Michigan-anyway she mentioned a lot of negatives from treatment she just finished-and then mentioned the positives and said "I guess I really do have something to sing about".
Late this after noon I received a response from a gal who saw my post in the church newsletter about STSA- she said she was so nervous to ring me and said she couldn't sing. We talked, I encouraged her to come tomorrow evening and I just received an email from her telling me the hardest thing for her was ringing me and now the easy part will be singing! This really touched my heart and had to share with you what a great thing you have started! You are bringing people together with a common bond that would never have met otherwise and giving them something to look forward to that started out as a negative in their lives. What a gift!
My daughter lives in Eire and has just told me about her local Something to Sing About group. I must say it really does sound a great idea! Would you be able to tell me if they have choir groups in the UK?
STSA is a truly phenomenal idea and I have no doubt but that it will be of tremendous benefit to cancer patients everywhere. Good luck to all!
